Rapid
Modeling Technology
The rapid modeling technology used by
MPX is based on the most recent advances in network queueing theory and
reliability modeling, branches of engineering applied mathematics that
are especially suited to the modeling and evaluation of the factory floor.
Embedded within MPX is a rapid modeling "engine" containing complex mathematical
equations that capture the manufacturing system dynamics of the factory
floor. These sophisticated equations reflect the knowledge and experience
of the manufacturing experts who developed MPX. Yet all this complexity
and sophistication are masked by MPX's pleasing, fun-to-use windows interface.
Compatibility
MPX is available
for Windows 95, 98 , NT, 2000, ME, and XP.
System Requirements
At least 16 MegaBytes
of RAM and 60MB of hard drive space are recommended.

New in the Version 4.3 released
in January 2003 - - - Features Include:
-
True global optimization of lot sizes
and transfer batch sizes
-
MPX will determine a set of lot sizes and transfer batches that will achieve
production and give a minimized WIP value and a minimized lead time
-
There is only 1 globally optimal set of lot sizes and MPX will get there
with minimal input from the user
-
Multiple user levels
-
New sorting fields
-
More reports for input and error data
-
New "What-if" families to model and track multiple time periods,
for example you can create a month by month production plan for the next
6 months
-
Utility to handle multiple "what-ifs" as a group, such as: Creating
and manipulating monthly production plans, equipment and labor, or overtime
adjustments
